Lehár's Late Works: An Artistic Collaboration (1928–1930)

Book presentation with author Dr. Andrea Elisabeth Pilz

As a new contribution to research on German-language operettas in the late 1920s, this book examines a trio of artistic collaborations: *Friederike* (1928), The Land of Smiles (1929), and The World Is Beautiful (1930) are three of Franz Lehár’s late works that shed light on the composer’s collaborative efforts with the two Jewish librettists Ludwig Herzer and Fritz Löhner-Beda. This book provides insights into previously unknown original materials from the individuals involved.
