Long Night of Museums 2026

The museums of the city of Bad Ischl, together with eight other museums from the Salzkammergut in the Long Night event.

Program at the Hotel Austria – Bad Ischl City Museum

  • 6:00 p.m. – midnight: Historic drinks at the hotel bar (last call at 11:30 p.m.)
  • 6:00–7:00 p.m., special guided tour on the theme “In the Footsteps of Empress Elisabeth in Ischl”
  • 8:00–9:00 p.m., special guided tour on the topic “Jewish Life in Bad Ischl”
  • 10:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m., special guided tour on the theme “In the Footsteps of Empress Elisabeth in Ischl”

Program at the Lehár Villa

  • 6:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m., Lehár film (1940) in the waiting room
  • 6:00–7:30 p.m., “Musical Soirée” — Guided tour with musical interludes
  • 8:00–9:00 p.m., Special Tour : “Franz Lehár’s Passion for Collecting”
  • 10:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m., “Musical Soirée” – Guided tour with musical interludes

Opening hours

Hotel Austria

Mon, Wed–Sun, 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
(Closed Tue)
Guided tours of the Hotel Austria are offered every Mon, Wed–Sun at 2:00 p.m.

We will also be open until 3:00 p.m. on December 24 and December 31.

The museum will be closed on December 8, December 25, December 26, and January 1.

Lehárvilla

TU - SO 10.00 - 17.00 (April - October)
DO - FR 10.00 - 17.00 (November - March)

Visits are only possible with a guide. Maximum group size: 15 people.

Tours outside of regular opening hours are available for groups upon request.

The Lehárvilla will be closed on December 8, December 24, December 25, December 26, December 31, and January 1.

Visits outside opening hours are possible in both houses for groups of 10 people or more.
