Book Presentation - "Have You Forgotten Me?" A Jewish Family in the SKGT

Until now, there has been no comprehensive account of the persecution suffered by the Jewish population living permanently in the communities of the Salzkammergut region in Upper Austria. What became of them after the Nazis seized power? Were they deported, murdered, did they survive the concentration camps, or did they emigrate? Did they seek the restitution of their property from exile? Nina Höllinger explored these questions in her publication, researching over 160 names and biographies with the aim of documenting Jewish life in the region and bringing it back into the public eye.

Nina Höllinger works at the Ebensee Museum of Contemporary History. In addition to her work in cultural education, she oversees projects such as the one that examined the Aryanization and restitution of Jewish properties in Bad Ischl.

The event will last approximately 1.5 hours. Afterward, visitors will have the opportunity to purchase the book and have it signed. On this day, the price of a museum admission ticket also includes admission to the presentation.

Please register for the event at info@stadtmuseum.at.
