Book Launch

A Historical Journey of Discovery in the Salzkammergut with Marie Theres Arnbom

Bad Ischl—this beautiful gem at the heart of the Salzkammergut is the epitome of a summer retreat. The presence of Emperor Franz Joseph attracted aristocrats, artists, industrialists, and socialites, all of whom left their mark on the town and its surroundings, ensuring that the splendor of days gone by remains palpable to this day. Grand, prestigious hotels were built, yet many summer visitors preferred to stay in their own villas.

On her varied walks, Marie-Theres Arnbom recounts their stories in an entertaining and informative way, comparing old and new perspectives and uncovering some surprising facts …
