Franz Lehár met with composers, librettists, artists and publishers in his villa in Ischl. Here he was able to work in complete solitude and in total concentration, shielded by his wife Sophie. The accompanying catalog published for the exhibition offers valuable new insights into the house and its famous residents and documents the restoration project.

Please note: In view of the weather forecast, it was decided to move the event to the Hotel Austria - Museum of the City of Bad Ischl!

Guided tours of the Hotel Austria are held every Mon, Wed–Fri at 2:00 p.m.

We will also be open on December 24, 2025, and December 31, 2025, until 3:00 p.m.

The museum will be closed on December 8, December 25, December 26, and January 1.

Visits are only possible with a guide. Maximum group size: 15 people.

Tours outside of regular hours are available for groups upon request.

The Lehárvilla will be closed on December 8, December 25, December 26, and January 1.

Visits outside opening hours are possible in both houses for groups of 10 people or more.
