Funding Agency REGIS - LEADER Region Cultural Heritage Salzkammergut

We would like to thank our funding partner , REGIS – LEADER Region Cultural Heritage Salzkammergut, for its financial support in bringing our exhibition projects at the Hotel Austria and the Lehár Villa to fruition. Thanks to this funding, the following measures were implemented:

  • the museums' photographic documentation
  • the publication of the exhibition catalog *Sehnsucht Salzkammergut* by Böhlau Verlag, Vienna
  • the publication of the exhibition catalog *In Ischl I Always Have the Best Ideas: Franz Lehár and His Villa on the Traun* by Böhlau Verlag, Vienna
  • the development of analog and digital educational programs for various age groups, including accessible offerings
  • the development of a museum app

Opening hours

Hotel Austria

Mon, Wed–Sun, 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
(Closed Tuesdays)
Guided tours of the Hotel Austria are held every Mon, Wed–Fri at 2:00 p.m.

We will also be open on December 24, 2025, and December 31, 2025, until 3:00 p.m.

The museum will be closed on December 8, December 25, December 26, and January 1.

Lehárvilla

TU - SO 10.00 - 17.00 (April - October)
DO - FR 10.00 - 17.00 (November - March)

Visits are only possible with a guide. Maximum group size: 15 people.

Tours outside of regular hours are available for groups upon request.

The Lehárvilla will be closed on December 8, December 25, December 26, and January 1.

Visits outside opening hours are possible in both houses for groups of 10 people or more.
